Two weeks ago, Matt and I attended the funeral of Sam Watts, the brother of Hailey's kindergarten teacher, and American Soldier. The funeral was emotional and difficult and beautiful all at the same time. His Pastor's sermon proclaimed the the Gospel in the midst of tragedy. The honor shown by the Army was moving. Perhaps the most touching part of the day was seeing the kids from the local schools lined up holding flags and standing with their hands over their hearts as the funeral procession passed.
