Matt and I are both former camp counselors. We worked at Walcamp while we were in college and so we were so excited to be able to share a camp experience with Hailey and Micah. We were able to attend a parent/child camp and Mari was able to spend her first night apart from me at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
We arrived at Camp CILCA on Friday evening to a cookout followed by swimming. We then enjoyed a campfire devotion and hay rack ride. We slept in overnight in the cabins and then spent the day doing a variety of camp activities. It was a wonderful introduction to summer camp for Hailey and Micah. They loved it.
Hailey is already planning her return to camp next summer. She will be old enough to attend a three day camp, but of course has to be able to handle all aspects of grooming herself; so she's eagerly been practicing taking showers on her own.
