Heartwood Family Camp

Last week we had a wonderful vacation with our friends Michael and Erin and their kids. We went to Family Camp at Heartwood Conference Center and Retreat in Trego, Wisconsin. It was a wonderful trip. Heartwood is everything northern Wisconsin should be; gorgeous trees and lakes, and the facility was so nice. We got to go swimming, hiking, kayaking, do arts and crafts, and just relax together. In the mornings we worked with Marilyn Sharpe on developing caring conversations, family devotions, rituals and traditions, and participated in acts of family service. A Captive Free Team was there to lead music and spend time with our children during our workshop time.

Mari crashed while we were at the beach and enjoyed a snooze in the stroller.

We had an amazing time. Before camp we were able to visit a zoo in St. Paul, Minnesota and we took a brewery tour at Leinenkugels in Chippawa Falls, Wisconsin. And of course, almost every night was spent playing Rage! I can't wait to do it again!
