So Miss Mari finally took her first steps on June 30! We were at my nephew Noah's birthday party and she finally had the confidence to take a couple of tiny steps! She has blossomed in the following week and is doing much more independent standing, taking more steps, and even walking a little bit on her own (that means mom and dad aren't enticing her). Before we know it she'll be running around the back yard with her brother and sister!
Mari's language skills are also growing right now. She loves to say "hi" and now when you ask her how her day was she will say, "goo[d]" every time. She is learning to say Hailey's name [Hai-ee], and is also saying ball, bye-bye, mama, daddy, papa, boo, and will try to mimic a lot of other words.
