Ash Wednesday

Today when Matt and Hailey arrived home from school, they each had a cross of ashes etched on their foreheads. When Mari saw her daddy, that's the first thing she noticed. She said, "You have a cross on your forehead." Matt started to explain and then asked if she would like to get one on her forehead at church this evening. Mari's initial response was, "No." But as she thought about it, she decided to make a special request..."Pink?" She asked.
