Hailey had been looking forward to her dance recital since December, asking weekly, "when will it be May?" Well the day finally arrived last week, Hailey had her first dance recital. We had a lot of fun getting ready for it and she danced beautifully on stage. And she really didn't even seem nervous to be up there in front of everyone. I helped backstage so I was able to watch her dance from just offstage, but I didn't get to see the rest of the dances. Her class danced to Beauty and the Beast and so her costume was Belle inspired. She wore the crown all day Friday and Saturday as well. I do believe the recital lived up to it's months long hype.
My sister and her boys came to watch Hailey's dress rehearsal.
And my mom and Matt's dad came to the recital. Matt surprised her with flowers.
And one of my favorite moments...I was taking some pictures of Hailey out on the front porch. Mari had come to help. I took this picture of Hailey, completely focused on her, took the camera away from my face and saw Miss Mari doing her best ballerina pose. I am happy that I managed to catch that moment too. Do you think I might have two ballerina girls?
