Mari's second birthday was kind of a quiet affair. It's been hard to cut loose and celebrate with the immense amount of grief that we have been through this year. Also, my sister Megan and her husband Dennis had just had baby Charlie so they were unable to come. George made the trip with Grandma and Grandpa though. The birthday girl had a great time with everyone and enjoyed opening her gifts. She especially liked her new chair that is just like her brother's and sister's chairs. We debated what kind of cake to make for her and settled on an owl. Not for any other reason other than it's cute. She took one look at the cake and declared it a puppy...so funny. She walked around saying "Happy to you" for a few days before her birthday.
Miss Mari...at two you won't look at the camera without a fight, you are building your vocabulary, you love to sing (Holy, Holy, Holy is your favorite), you are so funny and love to laugh, you enjoy mischief and picking on your brother and sister. You have amazing dimples and love to make others smile. You are friendly and warm up to others quickly. You are growing up so fast. We love you!
