Reading

So here's what we've been reading...

The kids and I have been reading Little House on the Prairie. We've successfully finished Little House in the Big Woods and Little House on the Prairie. We are currently reading Farmer Boy. Hailey and Micah have really enjoyed the story and it has been wonderful to me to revisit these books from my childhood.

Hailey finished her first chapter book at the end of March. It was so fun to walk in the room and see her with her nose in the book. I hope it is a sight I see more of this summer! She read a book her papa bought her at her school book fair. It was called "Bake a Wish: The Cheer-Up Cupcakes." She was so proud to have read it by herself because for a while the idea of tackling a chapter book was quite daunting.

I, of course, have been reading for Book Club. We just finished Deb Burma's "Stepping Out: To a Life on the Edge". It would be an excellent choice for a Bible Study as well.
