A Walk Down Memory Lane

Can you believe that it has been six months since this post? To refresh your memory it was the post about Hailey declaring war on all medical professionals...especially dentists. Allow me to hit a few of the highlights. It took three trys to get her dental paperwork for school signed off on. When we did finally have a "successful" visit, it took me wrapping her up in full body (yes arms and legs) hug and holding her down while she screamed and thrashed and the dental hygienist did her thing...as fast as possible.

Fast forward six months...you see where this is going don't you? See just when you think you've got this dentist thing behind you, they want to see you again. They are sneaky like that. So yesterday we returned to the dentist. And let me tell you...

She totally ROCKED it!!!!!

I knelt next to the chair and held her hands...not to hold them down, but just to offer support. There was no crying, no screaming, no kicking, and no thrashing. Just my sweet, brave girl cooperating! Hallelujah! Talk about relief, especially since I had all three kids with me. Micah even got to sit in the chair next to Hailey and they "checked out" his teeth too.

So we're cavity free and dentist free, at least for the next six months!
