The Big ONE!

Mariana turned one yesterday! We had a party for her on Saturday. The weather was gorgeous the company was wonderful and the birthday girl was adorable.

I made her cakes and I was pretty happy with how they turned out. I didn't even think about the rainbow cake and the party being on St. Patrick's Day until we cut the cake. It worked out well. The cakes tasted pretty good too. Matt grilled out pork chops and I made my party macaroni and cheese. The kids ended up next door at the park and had a blast.

Mari didn't really attack her cake, but she did try it. She preferred the ice cream - that's my girl!

It was a wonderful weekend of celebrating! At one, Mari is just doing a little bit of cruising. I'm not sure when walking will come, but it may be a couple of months still. I just noticed another tooth is through on top - so that makes five, almost six with its partner. On Sunday we went to church and Sunday School and then to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch. Mari chowed down on their macaroni - it was pretty funny.

So Happy Birthday Baby Baby! You have brought great joy to our family and we love you!
