...covered in pinkish red polka dots. Hives. I knew immediately what was wrong, but it still took me by surprise. It's really hard to see your adorable and sweet one year old baby covered head to toe in hives. Thankfully we already had a well baby visit scheduled yesterday morning, and there Mari's doctor confirmed what I suspected; she was having an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin that she had been put on last week. So my third born has introduced me into the world of allergies (I know I'm blessed). By last night her polka dots had more or less swollen together to make one blotchy, red, puffy face. Poor baby. Thankfully the hives don't seem to be bothering her in the least and hopefully they will be short lived.
The morning update. The hives are everywhere (except her back) and so splotchy, puffy, and red. The polka dots were cute compared to this. The benedryl is helping some though. I'm really hoping to see a little improvement throughout the course of the day. Poor thing. :(

Poor baby! Sending up prayers!!!
