1. My husband challenged me (and himself) to 100 crunches and 100 push ups a day, regardless of other exercise. I am not foolish enough to think that I won't ever miss a day, but I am going to give it my best.
2. Complete Micah's quilt in time for his fourth birthday.
3. Start and finish the quiet books.
4. Reduce the amount of sugar I consume. Unfortunately I believe I'm addicted. It has been really difficult to have a small treat, because one treat becomes another and another. For my health I need to break that cycle.
5. Remember Lamentations 3:22-23
22 Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
We don't need a new year to get a new start. The truth is we fail. I fail every day but as this verse states...the Lord's compassion never fails. One of my prayers for this year is to enjoy God's lavish grace. Not as permission to screw up more, but as permission to not give up.
