Just when I thought there was a light at the end of the tunnel of all of this sickness. We got hit again. Over the weekend we went to my mom and dad's and wouldn't you know, Hailey threw up in the middle of the night. She recovered quickly and that seemed to be the end of it. Tuesday night, Micah threw up in the middle of the night, and just like Hailey seemed to recover quickly. Wednesday when Hailey got home from school she immediately laid down on the couch and fell asleep. After a bit I decided I better check her temperature and sure enough she had a pretty high fever. Micah woke up from his nap as was also running a bit of a fever so off to prompt care we went. Hailey had a positive strep test (she had just finished a round of antibiotics on Monday for strep) and although Micah's was negative, they wanted to treat him for strep due to his fever and red throat. So both are back on antibiotics and we are praying that no one else gets sick.
It's been a long winter and I'm so ready for all of this sickness to be over. Shockingly enough the longer this goes one, the less stressed about it I'm becoming. It is what it is and I can't change it so I'm trying really hard to go with the flow. Don't be misled though, I still have my moments.
