Hitched

Yesterday my daughter married her daddy. Hailey decided she needed to get married (for pretend, Mom, as she often reminded me.) Since her brother was an unwilling participant, she decided that she was going to marry her daddy, at Build-a-Bear Workshop yesterday. It was sort of funny. She wanted to wear a dress and all the wedding involved was a little kiss as they walked around. Don't worry, it was all pretend.

We did go to Build-a-Bear today so that Hailey and Micah could, well, build a bear. They had been wanting to do this for a long time, so Matt and I gave them gift cards for Christmas so that they could go. They had a great time picking out their bears, stuffing them, and finding them an outfit.

Mariana has started climbing the two stairs that connect our dining room and our family room. I used to be able to let her crawl around in the family room and not worry about where she could go. That is no longer the case...she gets up those steps and into all sorts of things...especially the puffs and cheerios she throws on the floor.

Yesterday was our last day of Christmas Vacation. It was bittersweet. I'm ready to get back into a rhythm, but we had so much fun with our extra family time.
