End of the Year

Well, it is New Year's Eve, another year come and gone. 2011 has been a good year for us, but I always look forward to the freshness of a new year. I don't really do resolutions, but I do try and set a few goals. I don't have them all fleshed out yet, but I will try to share them soon.

I had a few things I wanted to share before the end of the year.

On Tuesday my family took all of the kids (7) to Monkey Joe's - a bounce house place. They had a blast bouncing and sliding and running around. The adults had fun borrowing the little ones in order to go on the slides as "helpers." Hailey has been asking to go back; which is wonderful because there was a time during the morning that I thought she wasn't going to fully participate.

On Wednesday of this week, we returned home and spent some time with some friends of ours that stopped by. Thursday, Matt started feeling worse - he had been fighting a cold for a week. He had a slight fever, so I sent him back to prompt care. He was diagnosed with sinusitis and early stages of pneumonia. I had to stop being angry at him for sleeping instead of helping find homes for all the new things we brought home.

Mari has been growing up before our eyes this week. She has loved pulling up (with some help) and standing. My mom and dad gave her an Incrediblock for Christmas and she loves to stand at it and play. Once or twice, I've even caught her not holding on for a brief second. She gets so proud of herself; grinning, giggling, and clapping. On Wednesday she got her belated Christmas gift...her two front teeth. They finally broke through the gum. She had been working on them for quite some time.

See you next year!
