It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Okay, not really. Matt and Micah went and got our tree from Matt's mom and dad's yesterday. It is very convenient that they live on an old Christmas tree farm. The trees are quite overgrown, but we usually just top one. They found a great tree and everyone is excited to start decorating it. Matt hauled all of the decorations out of the attic, but that's as far as we have gotten.

I've realized that I haven't been very good about taking pictures for the last few weeks. I'm going to need to start fixing that.

Jotham's Journey: A Storybook for Advent -
        By: Arnold Ytreeide

This is the book we are doing for Advent devotions, a recommendation we got last year from a college/camp friend. Now, we are only two days into it, but so far everyone is enjoying the story and it allows for us to spend time talking about Advent and preparing for the coming of Christ.

And a bonus: Yesterday at lunch, Micah was eating some "spicy chips" aka Doritos. All of a sudden he gets very animated and excited and says, "Dad, Dad! You got to try this! To see if you like it!" He was proudly dipping his spicy chips in ketchup. Yummo! Gotta love kids and ketchup!
