Thanksgiving went very smoothly this year - we drove to Matt's cousin's house near St. Louis and had a wonderful meal and an enjoyable afternoon with Matt's family. Hailey and Micah had so much fun running around and playing with their cousin's toys.
We left in the late afternoon for a three hour trip to my mom and dad's house. Even though Matt and I were still pretty full from the Thanksgiving feast, we had to stop to feed the kids. Unfortunately the place we stopped was absolutely disgusting and no one really ate very well. In fact, Matt and I had a good laugh about that and really wished we had some gum or a toothbrush for the rest of the trip.
Friday I went shopping with my mom, my sisters, and Mari. We, don't do any of the crazy early stuff (well, my sister has been know to). But we do spend the day together talking, laughing, and looking for great deals. Our major goal is to find Christmas outfits for the kids. We achieved our mission and then some this year. And we achieved Hailey's goal...matching dresses for her and Mari.
I didn't post on Thanksgiving and I did want to finish my month of Thankful Thursdays...so this is Thankful Thursday, Monday style.
