Christmas Ornament Series #1

On Saturday we celebrated Christmas with extended family then followed it up with Hailey and Micah's (and Matt's) Sunday School Christmas service. It was a very nice service and all of the children (and my husband) did a great job sharing the simple message of the baby born in Bethlehem.

My girls all ready for the Sunday School Christmas Service.

My husband suggested that I share a little about some of our Christmas ornaments and I thought I would do that in this week leading up to Christmas.

Our first White House Ornament. My dad has given us a the official White House ornament every year since we have been married. This one is from 2003 - our first Christmas. I look forward to seeing the new one every year!  Over the years, my dad has frequently traveled to Washington DC with work and on one of those trips he began gifting these ornaments. I'm pretty sure he began before 2003, but I'm not exactly sure when.

  1. That's neat! And your girls are beautiful! Did you make their dresses?

  2. No, I wish I were that talented. They are a gymboree special. Hailey really wanted matching dresses this year.
