Yesterday we had a sick day, Hailey and Micah got the cold virus Mari had been fighting last week. Unfortunately, Hailey often gets a fever when she has a virus, therefore she couldn't go to school.
Now here is where I'm torn...there's the fever-free for 24 hours rule and then there's my upbringing that says go to school (or work) unless you can't move.
So now I have to decide if she should go to school tomorrow if she wakes up fever free. Following the rules she should stay home, but it seems silly to me to have her miss a day of school for a runny nose. I guess we shall see in the morning.
Yesterday was also our first snow - nothing stuck, but it was pretty to watch the snowflakes drifting down. Hailey and Micah bundled up and went outside for a couple of minutes just to try and catch a few.
UPDATE: I'm not sure what kind of mother this makes me (besides just like my own, love you mom!)... but I sent her to school this morning. No fever, go learn.
