This weekend we started the Christmas festivities. Friday night our church held our drive through live nativity. I took the kids and they really enjoyed seeing the scenes and hearing the story of Jesus' birth. They especially like the real sheep that were present. Matt, of course, was helping out for the evening.
Saturday we went to Matt's mom and dad's for our first celebration. We had a nice day with his family, ate way more that we should have, and came home with bunch of cookies from our cookie exchange. As usual Hailey and Micah had a blast playing with their cousin Noah and Mari actually did really well and let several people hold her.
Saturday evening we put the kids to bed and Matt's sister came and stayed with them while we went to Matt's staff Christmas party. Again we ate more that we should have and had a nice time talking with everyone. We had a white elephant gift exchange in which we took the opportunity to unload some old 8 tracks that we have been unable to sell at our past garage sales. We had a nice time.
And here are my children showing off their impeccable fashion sense and winter (spring?) spirit.
