I have read 42 books on my Kindle since I received it as a birthday present from my parents - at the end of March. That makes the e-reader just slightly younger than my 3 1/2 month old daughter...I can't believe my husband has tolerated this, he often comes home to find me with my nose in
And the best part? I have paid for exactly one of these books. The rest are all freebies. Now some freebies are terrible, but I have also found some really great new-to-me authors. I read mostly fiction and I really enjoy Christian fiction, a genre that can be found in abundance in the free section. If you are interested, I use http://www.ereaderiq.com/ to find free books.
One of the things I like best about my Kindle are the books on demand. In this season of life going to the library for myself is a bit of a hassle. I mean have you ever tried to browse for a book while keeping three children corralled and quiet? Not my idea of fun. I also like the fact that I can read (and turn pages) with one hand - very useful when holding a baby.
I hope you don't begrudge me for switching from paper to e books. I didn't think I would ever make the switch and was convinced I wouldn't like reading on an e-reader. I was oh so wrong. Since I really hope my
