The kids and I stayed at my parent's house following the twin's birthday party, as did my sister Megan, her husband, and my nephew. Since we were all together (minus my dad and my husband) we decided to go to the 3rd Sunday Market in Bloomington after church. We went and wandered around for a while looking at all sorts of neat things. I'm sort of in the market for a kitchen island so it was fun looking at all of the custom furniture and discovering some new options. The place was packed full of different vendors and there was so much to see. The only thing that would have made it better would have been cooler weather. By the time we all got back to my parent's house we were sweaty, stinky, dusty, and hot.
So we decided to go for a swim in my parent's pond.
Hailey was a little unsure about this...she hadn't been in the pond since she was 11 months old.
But once she got in she enjoyed it and even swam around on her own.
This is my nephew George. He couldn't stay awake out on the water, so his swim was cut short.
This is my nephew Jack, he was convinced there were turtles in the water and that they were after him.
It took a lot of coaxing from my sister Natalie and myself to get Micah in the water, but once he was in he had so much fun.
The little boys also spent some time playing in the sprinkler...
by the time they were done, Micah's lips were blue and his teeth were chattering.
And Mari took a nap...
When we finally got home from our weekend adventure, we were all tired and stinky, but glad to have made the memories.
