"This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24.
I named this blog ... I will Rejoice... because I need it as a constant reminder for me. In fact, I have these words written above my cabinets in my kitchen so that I remember them daily. I have a tendency to get bogged down by the daily pressures of caring for a household with three young children in it and these words bring healing to my days. They remind me to rejoice in the wonderful gifts I have been given: a home - though I am a woefully inadequate housekeeper, three beautiful children - even when I am failing to see their beauty, a loving husband - even when I'm taking the day's stresses out on him. The words remind me that God has a plan for today, it may not be the same plan that I have, but still I will rejoice. I will rejoice in my forgiveness and my salvation. I will rejoice when we have good days and I will rejoice when they are not so good.
My messy kitchen (just keeping it real) with the words my sister made for me.

ReplyDeleteI might have to hire your sister! My little Cricut won't make those big letters. You're doing a great job on the blog!
