My Mari

Yesterday Miss Mariana had her four month well baby visit. She is doing great! She was 13 lbs. 8 oz. and 24 1/2 inches long. That is 8 oz. more that Hailey weighed at four months and a full inch shorter. (Hailey has always been long and skinny). Micah trumped them both though - he was 17 lbs. and 26 inches long at four months.

It's hard to believe Mari is four months already! It seems like it was just yesterday we were bringing her home. They change so fast. Last week she started rolling over both ways; though she prefers to roll back to tummy. I think she may eventually be a tummy sleeper. She has a fantastic smile that lights up her whole face and an adorable giggle. Miss Mari loves to be held and to be in on the action. She definitely lets us know when she feels left out!

She sleeps just like my other two - not very well, further proving my theory that my children's sleep issues stem from me. I just try to get them back to bed as fast as possible which means I nurse them - maybe 5-10 minutes tops. But all three have liked to get up several times in the night for those snacks.

This month we moved her from her bassinet in our room to her crib in the room she shares with Hailey. She took the transition well and then added another change by convincing us she no longer needed to be swaddled. How did we know - well she kept using her arms to scoot the blanket up around her shoulders, exposing her legs and tummy and freeing her arms from the elbow down.

I am so blessed to be Mari's mother. She brings us so much joy and I am so thankful that God placed her into our family!
