Happy Birthday Matt!

Today is my husband's birthday. I have to admit I'm not very good at celebrating his birthday. I never really know what to do for him... for example, this year he got a new TV and dish network, but we got that several weeks ago. So I have no presents, he doesn't really like cake, he wants to eat at home, and he's working all day. So to surprise him I'm blogging about him.

Here are 10 things, in no particular order and certainly not a complete list, that I really like about my husband, whom I really love...

1. He is really good at putting up with me. I usually have a really hard time getting him angry, and believe me I've tried. He's usually calm, while I'm ranting and raving.

2. He is a fantastic father. There is nothing more wonderful than watching him play with our children; and they adore him.

3. He loves Jesus. He shares his faith with the people he works with at church, and with us. He has passion for sharing the gospel.

4. He provides for us. He works so hard and has been through so much as a DCE. He held us together through a very unsettled time a year ago. His trust in God's faithful provision amazes me.

5. He lets me sleep in the mornings...most of the time he gets up and gets Hailey and Micah breakfast and lets me get a few extra minutes of sleep or snuggle time with Mari.

6. He thinks I'm hot. Somehow he looks past the extra baby pounds, the stretch marks, and the I don't have the time or desire to put myself together everyday (or any day) and makes me feel beautiful.

7. He is a great cook. He's really good at throwing a delicious dinner together fast. Something that has come in handy many times. I really appreciate that he can and is willing to help out in this area.

8. He smells good. When he hugs me, I just stand there and smell him :)

9. We compliment each other pretty well. Many of his strengths are my weaknesses and his weaknesses my strengths.

10. I really, really like that he picked me to share his life with! Thanks babe!
