Well that was so much easier than I anticipated. I guess Mari was really ready to start sleeping more. The first night went as I reported earlier. And the next three nights have gone off without a hitch. No more waking up and crying - if she wakes us she is going back to sleep on her own. This morning I heard her wake up about 5:30 and talk a little to herself, but she went back to sleep and she is still sleeping now (8:30). Her naps have gotten a little longer also. Hooray for sleep!
Now if we could just get the other two to stop the midnight parade. It isn't every night, but it was last night. Micah randomly cries throughout the night and we aren't sure why. He isn't coherent and won't answer questions. My suspicions are: growing pains in his legs, peeing (in his pull up), or a bad dream. Hailey thinks she needs someone to cover her up after a trip to the bathroom.
I'm ready to send Hailey back into the girls room, but she and Micah are having so much fun with there little reunion. They used to share a room until we moved into this house. So I told her she could stay as long as she wanted and they weren't fighting or keeping each other up too late.
I am so thankful that Mari did so well and what a huge transformation. From getting up 3-6 times a night to sleeping through 12 or more hours! I'll take it! Though I do miss our nighttime snuggles (not the lack of sleep) - just a little.
