Hailey is sick, I'm sick, Mari is a little sick. And no one is sleeping.
I don't wish to complain too much more, because after all, it is only a cold. Therefore, I will try to press on through the fog and write something... well something not horrible.
One of the fun things I have discovered since Hailey went off to kindergarten is how much Micah talks. I always knew he had a lot to say, it just wasn't always directed at me. And now it is. He will talk about anything that pops into his sweet little head and most of his conversation is repeating the same idea a hundred different ways. It cracks me up; though I must admit I'm not always the most attentive listener.
We've had some fun playing together one on one too. It has been a special gift to have some mommy and Micah time to ourselves. We've spent some time swinging - a favorite pastime. We've painted pictures, Micah's helped in the kitchen with baking bread and washing dishes, we've read books, and cleaned his extremely messy room together. I'm looking forward to more special times throughout this school year and I'm enjoying this last year of having my little boy all to myself.
