Camp Cilca

Last Friday the first grade and kindergarten classes at Hailey's school went to Camp Cilca for the day. I had the pleasure of driving and was even allowed to take Mari along since she is nursing and won't take a bottle. We could not have ordered better weather for the day. It was gorgeous. The leaves were changing and falling all around us, the sun was shining, the sky was blue, and it warmed up to 80 degrees over the course of the day.

Throughout the day the kids rotated from group to group experiencing games, art, hiking, and a scavenger hunt. I was assigned to helping with one of the game groups, though I'm not sure how much help I was with Mari in tow. She was a dream baby, by the way. She napped, played, ate, relaxed on the blanket, and was accosted loved by lots of curious children, and she took it all in. I also saw a friend from college (hi Sarah!) She told me she read my blog so I thought I'd let her know how nice it was to see her and how surprised I was also!

And a little fun fact: Camp Cilca is where Matt and I met for the very first time...at an Echleon concert when I was 18.
