Scrabble Junior

Last night after dinner, Hailey and Micah were asking to play a game, so I decided Hailey was ready to break out a very special game...Scrabble Junior. Why is this game so special, you ask? Well, I'm going to tell you...

The game belonged to my Grandma K. When I was a child we would play all sorts of games whenever we would go to her house and Scrabble Jr. was one of my favorites. Many of my memories of time with my Grandma K. revolve around playing games- she used to play catch with us, we would play Michigan rummy, Twin kins, do puzzles, and paint with water books. She also made the best french toast. I so wish that I could duplicate that, I am a terrible french toast maker.

Micah would have been about one month old, Thanksgiving 2008.
My grandma died shortly after Micah was born and I'm so glad that I have this game. It is so beat up that my grandma kept it in a plastic bag, but it is so fun. Hailey loved playing and making words with the letter tiles. And I got to tell my kids about their great-grandma.

  1. Such a precious memory and a great way to tell the kids something about your grandma every time you play the game. Love it!!
