Grandparents

I feel so blessed.

Hailey and Micah just came home from an overnight at Grandma and Papa's (Matt's parents) house. And let me tell you I have some of the best in-laws ever. I know there are many out there who struggle with their own parents or in-laws, but we are not among them!

 

Apparently I don't have any recent pictures of my in-laws together, I'm going to have to remedy that.

About a year ago, things in our life began to fall apart. At the end of last August, we found out that Matt would only have a job at Friends in Christ through September. That left us with one month to figure things out. Good thing God was doing the figuring for us.

Three days after learning that his call would end, Matt received a new call to the congregation he is serving at now. We left at the beginning of October. We moved in with my in-laws for about 6 or 7 weeks while we looked for a house. They made living there so easy for us.

We moved into our house at the end of November; and since that time Hailey and Micah have had several opportunities to go and stay with their Grandma and Papa. We love living so much closer to them and to my parents. We are able to visit my mom and dad frequently as well and both kids love to visit. In fact, Micah has been requesting a "new mom," in the form of his grandmas and asks frequently to go to their homes. They both must be more fun than me. ;)

Both my parents and Matt's parents are fantastic grandparents. They love our kids so much. And so we are blessed.
