First of all I just wanted to thank you to everyone who contacted me publicly and privately about yesterday's post. I chose to share because it was something I was struggling with over the weekend and I knew there would be others who have felt the same way. Hopefully this discussion can help us to take risks we might not otherwise take in reaching out to others. I know it encourages me. So thank you!
Now to completely change gears...
Eight years ago I married my best friend and it was a wonderful day! I couldn't have imagined a better wedding or a better husband! You are my rock and I'm so happy we are in this together. I love you! Happy Anniversary!
Three Strands
Marriage should be honored by all
Has not the Lord made them one
a chord of three strands
not quickly broken
no longer two, but one
A wife of noble character
her husband's crown
worth far more than rubies
the unfolding beauty
of a gentle and quiet spirit
a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised
The husband is the head of the wife
above reproach
respectable
united to his wife
and they will become one flesh
it is not good for man to be alone
Wives, submit to your husbands
Husbands, love your wives
Out of reverence for Christ
a chord of three strands
Has not the Lord made them one
This poem is words from the Bible arranged by me and was included in our wedding bulletin (thanks Chris for the inspiration all those years ago).
